Here's a thank you we had directly from Phil Pemble at Wooden Spoon

Jim, it’s important that we recognise and thank those people who help us raise funds for charity. Firstly I’d like to acknowledge Sutton Coldfield RFC for the opportunity on Sunday which enabled me to lift the profile of Wooden Spoon, rugby’s children’s charity, and raise some funds to support the region’s current projects. These include a platform at a fishery for children in wheelchairs, a refurbishment at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital children’s cancer centre and a sensory room at a project in Wolverhampton. We are both volunteers, who through our sport of rugby endeavour to give something back to our communities.

Secondly we couldn’t have raised as much as we did without the support of Canon. May I ask that you express my thanks to them for their support, without their donation of printers, inks and paper the proceeds would inevitably have been severely diminished. So many positive comments about the high quality of the pictures from people who were more than happy with their memento of the occasion and more importantly, happy to make a donation to the charity.

I wouldn’t be able to raise funds to undertake the projects I do without the help and support of the business community, please pass on my best wishes to your contacts at Canon. I almost forgot the most important bit, their support enabled us to raise an amazing £1200 so on behalf of the disadvantaged children we help, our sincere gratitude.

Thank you for stirring some smiles.
