International pitch sees great clash to start the build up to Christmas

Sutton played with control and saw the game out for a very important win and a much needed 4 points.

A well-tempered but very competitive game saw the second and penultimate clubs in the table come head to head.

On paper this was (and was expected to be on the on line forums) an away win for Burton. No one told the Green Machine though.

Straight out of the blocks a try had been chalked up within the first minute and the tempo and character of the game was set. Neither side wanting to give an inch.

A very considered and well managed game form Sutton saw them and Burton exchange the lead and in the last few minutes of the game, trailing by a score Miles Gregory side stepped and crossed to bring the sides almost level with a conversion to put the green ahead.

With the conversion missed, the game had swung back toward Burton. The next few minutes saw a lot of nails bitten as both sides and their supporters upped the volume of rugby and support.

A late penalty to Sutton saw Laurie Harries step up and slot the ball over to give Sutton the slender 2 point lead, keeping their head, Sutton played the next 2 minutes with control and saw the game out for a very important win and a much needed 4 points.
