SCRFC are making another contribution to the well running of the Wold Cup games with a squad of our youngsters as a ball team.

On Monday the Ball Team went to Villa Park for their guided tour and security briefing. They will be in action for both matches this weekend.

They have trained at Sutts under RFU instruction and also attended Birmingham and Solihull's ground to practice at one of their evening matches.

The RFU has an extensive guide as to the rules of being a Ball Team member as to when and when not to touch the ball and also what to do during the match.

The members will have to be on top form to remember their duties whatever the noise and pressure and it will be a real challenge which I am sure they will rise to.

They have been issued with full kit and will be at SCRFC on Saturday in World Cup Tops and tracksuits for collection at 2pm with KO at 4.45pm.

Get there early to cheer them on and pat them on the back!
