Bournville 2nd XV 48pts v Sutton Development XV 8pts

The Sutton Development side travelled to the new Bournville RFC facilities at Avery Fields, Edgbaston to face a strong Bournville 2nd XV, who play their senior rugby at a level above Sutton in the Midlands Premier National League 3 and on the day Sutton found their illustrious opponents just too strong as they trailed 24-8 at halftime and although the spirited Sutton side raised their game in a combative second half they conceded a further 24 points to lose a punishing contest 48-8.

The Sutton points came from Chris Duckworth, who scored a try and T J Allwood, who kicked a penalty but Sutton were denied further chances to shine.
