Lichfield RFC 15pts v Sutton Coldfield 29pts

North Midlands Colts League

Last Sunday Sutton Colts travelled to local rivals Lichfield to contest their North Midlands Colts League fixture and they secured a memorable 29 - 15 victory over their close neighbours to continue their very impressive winning sequence.

In a good first half the visitors raced into a 17-5 lead at the break and although the home club fought back with 2 more tries in the second half Sutton kept control of the game outscoring their opponents 5 tries to 3 securing a valuable try scoring bonus point, whilst denying the home side any bonus points at all.

The Sutton points came from Ben McElhanan and Paul O'Toole, who scored 2 tries each and Ben Edwards, who added a fifth try with Harry Wheelwright adding 2 conversions in another excellent victory for the Sutton youth team, who ensure that the future of Sutton rugby is in safe hands.
