Missing a number of first team regulars to representative duty for Warwickshire, as early as the 4th minute the more robust and mobile forwards of the Market Bosworth pack bullied the home team into submission with a converted try from deep. Extra pace in the backs continued to cause a number of errors as the visitors ran in a further 6 tries in the first half without response from the home team.
The home team coaches worked some magic at half time and the green shirts came out determined to make amends and after just 3 minutes winger Izzak Miller finished off a fine move to score in the left corner. Ten minutes later after continued pressure scrum half Paolo Parisi squeezed over in the right corner after a decisive scrum from the Sutton forwards. Sutton continued to play most of the game in the Market Bosworth half and it wasn’t until the last 10 minutes that the visitors added to their score. Two further late tries however completed a disappointing day and a rare home defeat for Sutton.
