Sutton enjoyed a comfortable win against Leamington. The first half saw some lovely flowing rugby with the forwards providing a solid platform for the backs to utilise, and the ball was put through the hands for full back Will Bolt to open the scoring. Centre Alex Quirke added a second after picking the ball up from a ruck and powering his way over. Bolt scored a second after some superb back line play, Hooker George Bonnell added a fourth after showing his footballing skills with a kick through from a spilled Leamington ball and controlled the ball brilliantly to score.. Centre Niall Madden added a fifth after a great break from the halfway line, sidestepping the full back to score under the posts. Leamington did pull one back on the stroke of half time as their outside centre outpaced the Sutton defense to score in the corner and end the half 31-5, Tom Bishop adding 3 conversions.
Sutton were made to work much harder in the second half and it was the visitors who applied all the pressure, their confidence high after scoring just before the break. Camped deep in Sutton territory it was wave after wave of Leamington attacks but Sutton's defense held firm with some heroic work from flankers Roman Smith and Fin Barlow. Finally Sutton were able to get out of their own half and get some continuity of play and winger James Mckay rounded off a lovely passage of play with the ball going through the backs to score in the corner.
