Sutton U14’s v Sils Warwickshire Cup Final At Barker Butts For the first time in a while, Sutton’s u14’s made it through to the cup final of the Warks cup. We started the game with limited replacements due to some recent injuries and unfortunately within the first minutes Sils broke through scored and converted. Sutton then pushed and spent the next 15 mins or so working and playing hard in the Sils half. Decisions didn’t always go our way and even with a penalty kick we just couldn’t get the on the score sheet. Our lads played out of their skins. Sils scored a further 2 tries in the first half from strong runs and the score half time was Sutton 0 - Sils 19. Sutton stepped up their game and played brilliantly again but we just couldn’t get over the try line, Sils discipline lacked and this ended up with one of their players being yellow carded. They scored a try just before the final whistle went. Final score Sutton 0 - Sils 24. Congratulations on getting to final boys I thought you were all brilliant despite the score. We would like to thank Barker Butts for hosting us today and wish Sutton’s u16’s good luck playing later this afternoon in the same cup. We also hope the mini’s tournament was a success.
