Hinckley came to the RSG with some decent results under their belt, but Sutton's U13 squad was in no mood for niceties after last week's result. Hard running and slick hands saw the hosts race into the lead with only 3 minutes gone. This set the tone for the rest of the period, Sutton looking very dangerous in attack and strong in defence.
Sutton were 4 tries to the good when a lapse in concentration allowed Hinckley to grab a breakaway try half way through the first period, but this was emphatically cancelled out with another 3 scores before the half time whistle.
The second half started and finished as the first had with another 4 tries being run in without out reply. The game was a pleasure to watch as the whole squad chipped in for the win in this entertaining hard fought game, Hinckley never giving up until the final whistle.
With a long hard season almost over Sutton host Welsh touring side Mold in two weeks time.
Some hard earned R&R over the next week or so should see the sore muscles and joints ease for one last push.
