Crisp blue skies and a strong wind greeted Sutton U13 squad as they travelled to Liecestershire for a third time in a month.

Poor handling by both side made for a staccato rhythm to the game, both packs were pretty evenly matched with some strong hits going in from the two sets of forwards. Sutton made the breakthrough with seven minutes on the clock, some strong forward play at the breakdown created a platform for Scrum half Harry Mitcham to launch the back line into action. Good lines of running interspersed with slick passing resulted in George Creed going over near the posts, Harry added the conversion to make it 0-7 to the visitors.

A pattern of good play punctuated with poor final passes and fumbles made for an equally pleasing and frustrating spectacle to watch.

Sutton's next score followed on the quarter hour mark, again the forwards made the platform and the backs made progress along the line. Luke Reynolds picked the ball up from the back of the resultant ruck, charging diagonally toward the touch line to score under the posts, Cormac Neville on his shoulder for support all the way. Harry stepped up for the extras making it 0-14.

Another well worked try from Jenson Sharlott made the half time score 0-19.

The second half, a carbon copy of the first, made for some frustrating watching! The quality of handling ranging from the sublime to the mildly rediculous. Each time Sutton clicked they looked as though they could score at will running in two more unconverted tries after some good play through the mid field, Tyler Bryant scoring first off a slick pass by Cormac and Sam Grimshaw burst through to make the final score 0-29.

The positives from this game were three fold:
Whenever Suttons usual game came together they scored with ease
Ashby were always working at full tilt to contain Sutton
When the second half changes were made the pack held it's shape in the scrum

The negatives will be address on Wednesday night at training
