Mass changes to the 'A' team line up saw a team of eleven new and inexperienced players line up to face Burton - Billy Tudor rewarded for a great first game with another start.
Apprehension turned to confidence as the development side showed good resolve and character as the hosts piled on early pressure. Forwards and backs worked as one to defend the line keeping Burton out, Louis Pottinger, playing his fourth game of the season worked manfully in the loose and at the breakdown.
Strong defence from Suttons backs saw continued improvement from Shane Slattery, Alasdair Bell and Stan Pigott. Jack Dalton and Elliot Spalding showed good strength at second row.
Second half changes saw the excellent props Ben McElhanlon and Billy Tudor replaced by 'A'team second row pairing Lewis Belton and Luke Reynolds. As the half progressed, the pack began to take control as in the first game. Dan Khan began to control the game, using the ball better despite the Burton side being constantly off-side without being penalised. Luke was again targeted by the referee for handing off even though he had both hands on the ball, keeping his personal tally to 1 try for the day. Two late tries by Lewis completed an excellent all round performance against a tough hard hitting opponent making the visit into Staffordshire a trip well worth making. The score at the final whistle 10-0 to Sutton's Development side.
