The players and supporting adults took the trip up the A5 to Hinckley this Sunday to meet what was expected to be tough opposition. The first period saw Hinckley demonstrate strong physicality, but repeated attacks were rebuffed by strong tackling by all the Sutton players, including several skirmishes on the Sutton line. However we managed to break away to score so that we led 1-0 at the break. We then had enough players available to make several substitutions and the second half saw the physical side of Hinckley gradually fade and Suttons ball handling and passing took over, but even in this period when called upon the side made many strong tackles. The rain by then had made the use of my notebook hopeless but I think the score after the second period was 5-0.
Another 2 tries came later as wholesale changes were made. A good all round performance from the greens.
