This Sunday we travelled to Redditch a club we haven't played at M&J level for some time. After recent rains the going was heavy and we arrived to find an under 12 side on average much bigger than our side. The physical aspect of the game therefore was one we had to manage before we could show our speed and handling skills could win on the day.
The first game playing up the slope we won 2-0 with Reiss Chagar finishing off good moves to score the two tries. The next playing down the slope saw Chaggs, Ruari (2), Reiss Roberts and Austin score the tries in a 5-0 win. In the final game Redditch's more physical approach caused us problems and they triumphed 2-0.
Overall, the team showed that whilst rucking is still not their best attribute, progress has been made and tackling also has improved, ready for the efforts needed in the last two weeks of the season, away on tour and then in our festival
