A visit to our first serious challenge of the season saw the first game dominated by forward play, both packs working hard to make the break through. Tries by Ben, Callum and Cormac (2) helped to complete a 20-5 win, the lack of posts meant no conversions. A well organised performance promoted some very good rucking by the forwards helping to set up the necessary space for the backs to run good ball through the hands.
The familiar changes for the second game provided the travelling supporters with the spectacle of another hard fought game, this time resulting in a much closer contest finishing 5-5. As with the previous weeks some dogged defending set the platform for some well executed attack play resulting in wing George Pegg capitalising on some good work to score a classic try from inside his own half.
All in all this was the best team performance so far this season demonstrating some pleasing progress throughout the squad.
