A superb day

Whilst the festival programme pointed out that results were not to be recorded for the under 11’s it was pleasing to note some of the individual performances from our lads on the day. In the White team in the first game, Ben and Chris each scored against Bournville. The second game saw a large number of tries against Camp Hill, Ben scored 5, Ruari 2, Chris 2, whilst Joseph,Elliott, Louis and Matt also crossed the line.
The green team had an exceptional day, which included tough games against Moseley and Worcester. Austin, Harvey, Reiss 2 and Sam scored against Moseley, whilst the first three also scored against Worcester, this time Austin scored twice. The dynamic trio were at it again against Veseyans, when ably supported by good rugby from the rest of the squad,they all scored twice.
It was then pleasing to see that the following “draw” for matches in the second round, saw the green team facing Lichfield the outstanding team from Pool 1, this time twin Ben also managed to add his name to the regular trio of scorers to complete a fine festival for the greens. The whites also finished well against Veseyans – Chris 2, Louis, Elliott, Ruari and Ben crossing the try line in this match.
Combined, with the fine weather, great organisation a day Sutton Coldfield M&J’s can be proud of
