- Final Score 1 - Sutton Coldfield 7
Sutton started strong again, giving them the upper hand over Coventry. This game reflects the training that coach Lee has installed over the last two months, they showed committed tackles whilst watching and reacting to the game play from the opposition.
Try scorers - Three by Kyle, one by Ben, one by Frankie, one by Archie, one by Sam

So after a tough couple of games a bit of practice was first up before the big game with the Old Coventarians. Some training on tackling, running and passing were the order of the day.
Old Coventarians had a few players who looked like they had their Weetabix, so we knew we were in for a tough game. The teams lined up with Sutton starting with the ball, a few quick passes and an excellent run by James meant a first score for Sutton, James to Joe with an easy step over the line and a try. 1-0 to Sutton. This was not the Sutton from last week, well organised, passing and pushing Old Coventarians back with some excellent defensive work. It looked like our guys had there Ready Brek this morning. Some super tackling from the whole team really getting stuck into this one.
Old Coventarians began to push hard and a few quick passes and they were up the field with a few darting runs, a fine run along the wing and they levelled the score. This was going to be a tough one. Old Coventarians began to string a few runs together as Sutton began to tire and gaps started to show, big spaces which Old Coventarians began to exploit Sutton with a few more tries. Sutton at the restart and a super run by Jacob just short of the try line, Old Coventarians began to push Sutton back. A half time pep talk was required for Sutton to re-group.
Second half underway by Sutton and some fantastic tacking by the fearless Jacob. The Sutton team were getting involved and some super tackles from George, Ryan, Jack and James. Joe was the last man standing and made some super tackles when Old Coventarians thought they had scored. Another two tries from Joe one where he ran the whole pitch length and one for Alex M finished off the game with the final score 10-4 to Old Coventarians. A hard fought game where Sutton learnt a lot and kept their heads a lively performance from both teams.
