When Ashley Johnson (Wasps Hooker) is on the side line you know you are in for a tough one.
Barker Butts had a few players who looked like they were up for the challenge. Sutton ready for another tough game were tired but looking charged (ready, ready, ready, up) so both teams poised for a good encounter. Sutton started with the ball but Barker Butts stepping up and making some excellent tackling. Sutton not being phased utilising the Scrum Half Taran who was passing out to the wings and Sutton using the space and width of the pitch. Joe was setting up camp on the wing waiting for the killer pass to run down the wing. Some excellent coaching from Edge and Terry meant that Sutton were pressing hard. Barker Butts pushed hard and got the 7th tackle so turnover. Barkers Butts has some runners who were dancing on ice, side stepping and passing out to the wings, some darting runs a few tries scored within the first half. Sutton yet to score.
The second half under way with Barker Butts on the ball, Sutton not tackling well and Barker Butts breakthrough for another try. Sutton needed to dig deep and fight back, penned back into their own half Sutton continue to press utilising the Scrum half and being patient for the breakthrough, Sutton near their own try line and being tackled continuously. Sutton then find a space an excellent pass to Joe on the wing who then runs the length of the pitch and loses a boot on the way, what a try! Fantastic support from Sutton and a deserved try.
A fantastic game a little one sided but both teams plyed well with some fantastic tackles and running. Final score 7-1 to Barker Butts.
