Sutton U8s vs. Claverdon U8s
20th January 2019
A cold and damp morning awaited the under 8s but it failed to deter them as once again, the boys turned out in full strength to face Claverdon.
The first match was clearly a challenge for Sutton. The Claverdon side proved formidable at tagging and scoring tries. They were very organised in their playing. Undeterred, Sutton showed once again, their unending stamina and enthusiasm for the game.
The shock of the first game drove Sutton on to pitch their skills to a higher level in the second game when a much more convincing number of tags and tries lifted the spirits and the speed of the game.
The Sutton Spirit stayed with the boys right to the end despite the unfavourable weather conditions and the skill of the Claverdon side.
Well played boys!
Things to take away; more confidence to take scoring opportunities to the touch line, more accurate attempts to take tags and keep those ears pinned back to listen to coach a little more.
