Yet again another sunny September in Sutton saw the might of the green army take on a local rival.

Yet again it was another story of two halfs! The first half saw a Sutton team being held for the first 30 minutes of the game till a wonder break from second week running man of the match Verne Brown and an offload to James Hegarty saw Hegs run in from 40meters out, (20m running & 20m falling in style) saw the only try in a first half. Clarkie converted to make it 7-0 at half time. In the second half the flood gates opened for the might green team, which saw trys from Antec, Gareth Roberts and Foulsh to make it 28-0. Old eds did manage to break the line of Sutton defense to get a try but failed to convert their conversion. Another wonder break by Antec saw him score his second try of the game this put Sutton up by 30points. Verne Brown manged to deniy Hegs with his second try by scoring himself to push Sutton further into the lead with 15 minutes left on the clock. Sutton managed to score once more from a kick inside thier own 22 by Fred Britton which was chased and caught off a bounce by captain Mark McEvoy who ran through a couple of tackles and with 4 players outside him and 1 defender to beat to beat trusted in his raw power and speed to take defender and ball over the try line for Suttons final score! All in all it was better performance from Sutton and lets hope they can carry it on into next weeks game!
