Welcome to Sutton Coldfield Rugby Football Club!

Welcome to the Sutton Coldfield Rugby Football Club website. This is where you will find information about the club, recent news, who to contact and a brief history.

"SCRFC was established in 1921 and has been a major focal point in the town ever since. We moved to our present site in 1977, our facilities continue to be developed.

We are justifiably proud of our motto 'For Rugby In the Community', for we provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. Our strong mini and junior section field a full complement of teams from under 7 to under 17. The senior section regularly put out four sides plus a colts team and an occasional veterans team (they need a longer break between games to recuperate). We are also proud to field a ladies team and a girls team. We have strong links with schools and colleges in the vicinity.

Several years ago, with the advent of professionalism, a decision was made for SCRFC to remain an amateur club. We believe this was the best way for us to proceed. We are pleased to play in a 'professional manner' on an amateur basis. Never wanting to put a barrier in the way of our best players however, links have been made this year with Pertemps Bees, which will provide opportunities for our players to further develop their skills and to perhaps progress in to the top levels of the game.

Rugby is the greatest game in the world, providing opportunities for friendship within and between clubs, a tradition that must never be lost!

Respect your opponents for without them there is no game. Win with dignity or lose with honour, but have a drink and a chat afterwards."

If you would like to join the club as a player, in a non-playing capacity or to find out more information please use one of the listed contacts or just come to the club on a match day or training night.
