Here are the players who represented Sutton yesterday.

Alex Shaw, Pete Dale, Dan Wells, Chris Duckworth, Andy Duckworth, Steve Marshall, TJ, Dean Humphreys, Harry Edwards, James King, Rab Cooper, Mark Lettman, Ian Wilson, Stu McGarragle and Mark McEvoy (injured but turned up to support).
14 turned up to play a league game at Camp Hill v Camp Hill 2s. Within 10 minutes of the start Sutton were battling with 12 against 15 and somewhat predictably were on the end of a real hiding 0-86.
It must be emphasised that all the players in green played for the shirt and club and ran themselves into the ground. They competed really well in all the set pieces but as soon as the ball went open the wide open unoccupied spaces were exploited with little mercy by Camp Hill and the points mounted up minute by minute.
Eventually Camp Hill to their credit and their captain’s in particular seemed to tire of the massacre and after discussion with the official agreed to put an end to the proceedings.
Every played in a green shirt played for the club but does it apply to other players and indeed the club itself? Is there enough desire to run a third team because to those in it the perception is no! No team can perform half heartedly an accusation which cannot be levelled at the players who played and turned up yesterday. Every player felt the pain of defeat yesterday, defeat is bearable but not when skipper Steve Marshall does all the donkey work during the week under a cloud of uncertainty and lack of communication(my words not his!!)
