Despite a much improved performance and player availability Sutton fell to a heavy league defeat against long standing local rivals Old Salts.
A well organised and co-ordinated away team started far more coherently than Sutton and were rewarded with a series of early tries and a 28 point lead by half time.
An improved second half performance saw a well worked try started by a typically powerful run up the left wing by Mark McEvoy, taken on further by TJ and ultimately scored by Mark Letman who supported well at the end to complete the move. Converted by Pete Dale but yhat was as good as it hot as Old Salts ran out comfortable winners by 51 points to 7.
McEvoy, Letman and Dom Morphett had olid games for Sutton but a lot of work needs to be done.
