Another good win for the Colts today against a strong Dudley Kingswinford side. Despite missing several players due to other commitments, injury and school clashes, Sutton scored 6 tries through Ben Zvinis, Ruari Dale, James Fisher and another hatrick for Austin Nevitt, his third in three games!! Sam Mortimer converted 4 of these to give a final score of 38-24. DK scored three tries of their own, all converted plus a penalty.
Even though they only had one substitute, Sutton finished the game the stronger and pulled away in the final quarter to gain a decisive lead. Up to this point, the game had been very close, with the lead changing hands frequently. At half time, DK held a 5-10 lead but Sutton found their game plan in the second half to pull away.
Thanks to David Owen from Erdington RFC for refereeing when his previous fixture at Bournville was cancelled. Three games played, three wins with try bonus points in all three! No game next weekend and then Bournville away on 16th October.
