Sutton Coldfield Under 15s Match Report – Sunday 28th September, 2014
Luctonians RFC 5 - Sutton Coldfield RFC 43
Sutton’s dominant first half display secured an excellent win in their first away match of the season against a physically strong Luctonian side. Five first half tries were all well worked with Lamaar Lawrence running in two tries from the wing position within 10 minutes. It was then Declan Mee’s turn to run in two tries with Will Poland adding the fifth just before half time.
The second half brought about a number of changes and slightly unsettled Sutton’s rhythm but were still able to run in another two tries, Lamaar scoring his third and Will Poland getting his second. As the match progressed a number of technical errors enable Luctonians to gain more control and their pressure earned them a deserved try. Declan Mee converted four of Sutton’s tries.
After a one and a half journey, those travelling were pleasantly surprised by the Luctonians catering facilities, and gastronaut and food critic Brian ‘picnic basket’ Dunn gave it an impressive 9/10.
