Sutton Coldfield RFC 40 – Droitwich RFC 5
An error strewn first half saw a developing Sutton side go in to half time with a slender lead courtesy of an opportunist converted try from Eddie Chitnis, 7 -5.
The second half saw a more composed and cohesive Sutton performance, running in an unchallenged 5 tries; 3 by Will Poland and one apiece by Matt Price and Declan Mee. Eddie Chitnis converted all but one of Sutton’s tries.
The final score; 40 – 5.
Next week see Sutton take on Birmingham Bees in the first round on the North Midlands Cup.
