Sutton U15's were forced to come from behind to beat a competitive Bromsgrove side 38 -21. The visitors caused problems throughout with their pick and drive game that starved Sutton of possession. Having missed an early penalty, the visitors were first on the scoresheet with a converted try and matters could have been worse but for another missed penalty. Sutton eventually found some fluency when the back row combined well to allow Matt Price to touch down for an unconverted try. Further weak tackling allowed Bromsgrove to score again however, and Sutton found themselves 5 - 14 down at the break.
The introduction of some fresh faces sparked the Sutton back line into action and it took less than two minutes for Will Poland to cut a fine line to score under the posts. Matt Green followed this up with a strong run off the base of the scrum before Poland scored his second. Lemaar Lawrence also added a brace and maintained his fine record, running in from 50 plus metres on both occasions.
