Sutton Coldfield RFC 14 v Silhillians RFC 38
Even though Sutton dominated possession and territory, particularly in the first half, a lack of precision, poor decision making and implementation epitomised Sutton’s performance against a well-drilled Silhillian side.
Throughout the first half Sutton had the majority of play. However, three ventures into Sutton’s half resulted in Sills scoring three tries and with only a Chitnis converted try, it meant that Sutton trailed 19 – 7 at half time.
The second half continued in a similar vein as Sills ran in a further three tries with Chitnis getting his and Sutton’s second of the game. The final result somewhat flattered a talented Sills side but Sutton’s second defeat of the season will hopefully enable them to reflect on a score line that might have been closer than the 38 – 14 suggests.
