Tamworth was the venue for an unscheduled match and, as the score line suggests, Tamworth’s newly formed Under 15 side was no match for a strong Sutton side even with a number of players absent. The driving rain and windy conditions resulted in a number of handling errors but Sutton dominated from start to finish. Tamworth rarely threatened Sutton’s line but must be commended for their perseverance to the final whistle.
Sutton ran in a total of 12 tries. Charles Snow, Justin Hurlock, Lamaar Lawrence and Michael Moore all bagged a brace of tries. Also scoring for Sutton were, Ben Garraty, Eddie Chitnis and Matt Green who opened the scoring for Sutton against his old club. Eddie Chitnis converted 6 of Sutton’s tries.
