Sutton Win Triangular

Sutton Coldfield RFC v Coalville RFC v Broadstreet RFC

A mini three-way competition hosted by Coalville ended in success for Sutton.
The first match saw Sutton play the home side which proved to be the more competitive of the two matches. Half time saw Sutton lead by 7 - 0 after a somewhat of a tense affair as Sutton was able to open the scoring with a try from Dom Devine within the first 2 minutes but the rest of the half, Sutton was on the defensive.
Some changes at half time still didn’t stem Coalville’s pressure and resulted in them scoring an unconverted try. Sutton then played some better rugby to end up scoring two tries from Will Poland and Will Smewin to win the match 19 - 5
As Broadstreet had only 12 players, it resulted in some of the Sutton lads changing their allegiance. Broadstreet soon found themselves under sustained pressure and by half time, Sutton had run in 5 tries; Matt Price claiming 3 and one a piece for Lamaar Lawrence and Ollie Mills. Justin Hurlock added another in the 2nd half but Broadstreet replied with 2 tries, courtesy of Sutton’s Matt Price and Ollie Pegler! Final score 32 – 10 to Sutton.
